An interesting info graphic showing the most popular social platforms by country was released on Vincos Blog earlier this week.
Facebook is number one in 115 out of about 130 countries. It has gained strong market share in countries like India that have previously been dominated by other brands. However, there are still some countries that aren’t as interested in Facebook. Facebook has been blocked by the government of China since 2009, but even before the block it had low adoption and use rates.
On a related note, Chinese social network renren plans to IPO in the US in 2011, but Facebook has no public plans to become a publicly traded company. The Chinese social network has a user base almost equal to a quarter of all Internet users in the country.

At last, someone comes up with the “right” anserw!
